The hamlet which encircles the fortress, with its fascinating architecture adds to the authentic medieval feel of Castel di Luco. One of the buildings, constructed right against the rock on which the stronghold was built has been completely rennovated without altering in any way the original structure. This ancient dwelling dating back to the 1400s was once the residence of the craftsmen that served the inhabitants of the castle, and later transformed into a stable and hay-loft.Today, the building houses four fabulous suites all with original brick paving stones, travertine walls, and magnificent wooden beamed ceilings. The suites, named after the grandmothers of the Amici family: Eva, Maria, Elena and Maria Teresa, all have marvellous views over the surrounding countryside. Whilst the stylish simplicity of the furnishings is in perfect harmony with the medieval ambience, no concessions have been made to achieving the maximum of modern comfort..
